I’m talking about robots, not monsters…
I thought I would feature a few of the cool things I’ve used to decorate my three year old son’s room. The first robot you will meet as you walk in his room is this cute guy designed and made by A Little Miscellany.
Let’s keep going with the robot theme. I found the cutest robot print that I just love by Apple Blossom Print. I was able to customize it with my son’s name and birthday and I was able to select the colors that were just right for his room!
Now, the robots don’t stop there. No room is complete these days without a wall decal. I found a fantastic robot from Chuck E Byrd Wall Decals and again was able to customize the color. We just love Robby the Robot at our house!
…is a doormat. Yep, a doormat. I know this is awfully boring but it’s a practical gift, and as a mom, that’s what I’m all about these days! I’ve found a cool and environmentally friendly doormat by Maine Rope Mats that I would love to own (big hint to the family member who has my name for the gift exchange this year). This doormat is made out of recycled lobster rope and helps to protect the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale. Very neat!
3D printing amazes me. The fact that a printer can take a 3D digital model and turn it into a physical object made out of a variety of materials still does not seem possible. My husband assures me that on-demand, customizable 3D printing is the wave of the future. So without further ado, I bring to you a 3D printed iPhone 5 case by ArtizanWork. It looks like a sweater for your iPhone 5!
Well I don’t hunt…but my handy dandy brother-in-law is a big hunter and I’m dedicating this post to him! You’re probably not going to take down a deer or a high-flying duck with this good looking Simple Three handmade slingshot by Hella Slingshots. However, the odds are in your favor when it comes to the squirrels in my backyard!
So I might be a little late to the game finding these folks… Little Sapling Toys appears to be the perfect place to find some toys for my two little boys this holiday season. Seriously, can their stuff get any cuter? I know exactly what I want to buy! The wooden toy camera will be a big step up for my one year old son who loves to pretend a plastic block is his camera. And my high-energy three year old will love knocking down the pins in the bowling set. Thank goodness the set comes with a soft ball!!
Not only is Little Sapling Toys making cool stuff, they are also being environmentally thoughtful in their approach to their business. They plant a tree for every toy sold, use FSC Certified hardwoods, recycled content packaging and participate in their local green power program. Fantastic!
I don’t know about you, but I’m in desperate need of some new holiday decorations this year. I’ve looked high and low for a wreath for my front door and I’ve finally found one! Elegant Holidays makes gorgeous wreaths for all occasions. I bought their red and green eucalyptus wreath and I can’t wait for it to arrive in the mail. It’s the perfect wreath – I’m serious! The eucalyptus is harvested in the USA and with a little love and care, the wreath should last for many years and should continue to smell great. What a fantastic investment! I won’t need to buy a new evergreen wreath for the front door every year! I also bought some beautiful pre-made bows for the fence in the front yard in weather resistant fabric. Another great product that will last more than one season!
I can’t wait to buy more wreaths for future holiday seasons. Thinking my next purchase will be the beautiful lavender wreath for the springtime…
I’ve got to run to the mall and tell Santa to fill my stocking with these all-natural, adorable and amazingly scented mini lotions, shower gels, soaps and room and linen sprays from Red Leaf Bath and Body! I’ve actually purchased the mini sized lotions before as gifts at my sister’s baby shower and everyone loved them! The pink grapefruit scent was my favorite! Check out the Red Leaf etsy shop to see all their products and they even have stuff for men.
